Operation Cast Lead (2008/09): Photojournalistic work on the Israel-Palestinian conflict, most notably during the ‘Operation Cast Lead’ while the Gaza strip was closed for foreign journalists. At that time the Gaza strip was sealed off for foreign journalists and local photographers from Reuters AP and AFP showed the world what was happening inside. Abed's photos of the infamous phosphorus bombardment, shown here, aroused international indignation.
