Twitter campaign in GEMAK

From 23 March till 17 April, 2012 visitors of GEMAK are able to take part in the already existing Twitter campaign Take Action (retweeting Ai Weiwei's tweets and quotes and using #NeverSorry).

Tweets will be projected on one of the GEMAK walls and are visible to passers-by. In exchange for their tweet at GEMAK participants receive a special Never Retreat. Retweet!-bag (while stock lasts).

Movies that Matter: Ai Weiwei #NeverSorry

Public conversation and Ai Weiwei twitter campaign

In connection to the Movies that Matter Festival in The Hague (22-28 March, 2012), GEMAK will host a public conversation (English spoken) on Sunday, 25 March, 2012 between 3 and 5 pm, about the practice and ethical dilemmas of being an artist in China.

Participants are documentary maker Alison Klayman, who was in close contact with the artist and activist Ai Weiwei for two years whilst making the documentary Ai Weiwei Never Sorry and visual artist Jean Bernard Koeman who spent several years in China and met Ai Weiwei there.
